The 2026 Talaria Komodo MX is Talaria stepping into a much more serious class of electric dirt bike. With a 32kW peak powertrain, full-size 21/18 wheel setup, 97.2V electrical system, forged aluminum chassis, and long-travel suspension, the Komodo is built for riders who want more motorcycle underneath them without giving up the instant response and simplicity that make an electric platform so much fun.

This is a considerably larger and more powerful machine than the lightweight Talaria platforms many riders are familiar with. Talaria rates the Komodo MX for a 105 km/h, roughly 65+ mph top speed, with 754 Nm of peak torque at the rear wheel. It is designed for fast open terrain, technical trails, jumps, hill climbs, and riders who have simply outgrown smaller electric dirt bikes.

32kW Hairpin Motor and 97.2V Power System

At the center of the Komodo is Talaria's 96V air-cooled 4-layer hairpin motor. The motor produces 32kW peak power, 90 Nm of motor torque, and up to 754 Nm of torque at the rear wheel with the 14T/53T sprocket configuration. Talaria rates motor efficiency at 95%, with an MPTA + FOC controller managing power delivery.

The Komodo also uses a gearbox for its primary transmission and chain for the final drive. That setup helps Talaria put the substantial output of the motor to the ground while maintaining the familiar serviceability of a chain-driven dirt bike.

97.2V 45Ah Battery

Power comes from a 97.2V 45Ah lithium-ion battery with 4,374Wh of energy capacity. Talaria specifies Samsung 50S or LG H51 high-discharge cells with a 7C discharge capability. This is a serious battery pack designed around the demands of the 32kW powertrain rather than simply chasing a larger capacity number.

Talaria rates maximum range at approximately 115 km, or about 71 miles, when tested at 45 km/h. Real-world range will vary considerably with speed, rider weight, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, elevation changes, and how often you are using the Komodo's full power.

The 40A fast-charging system can take the battery from approximately 10% to 80% in about one hour. A full charge will take longer, but the high-rate charging system can make a major difference when riding multiple sessions in a day.

Built Around a Full-Size 21/18 Platform

The Komodo MX runs a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination with a 70/100-21 front tire and 90/100-18 rear tire. This full-size dirt bike wheel setup gives riders better rollover through rocks, roots, ruts, and rough terrain than the smaller wheel combinations commonly found on lightweight e-motos.

Ground clearance measures 315mm, approximately 12.4 inches, while the 910mm, approximately 35.8-inch seat height gives the Komodo the stance and riding position of a much more substantial off-road motorcycle.

Forged Aluminum Chassis

Talaria builds the Komodo chassis from 6061 T4 and T6 aluminum alloy using a massive 6,000-ton forging process. That construction is important on a bike producing this much torque. The frame needs enough rigidity to keep the suspension and wheels working predictably when accelerating hard, landing jumps, or carrying speed through rough terrain.

Vehicle weight is approximately 98 kg, or 216 lbs, with a maximum rated load of 160 kg, approximately 353 lbs.

Long-Travel Adjustable Suspension

Up front, the Komodo uses an adjustable 43mm aluminum closed-cartridge fork with an air chamber and 250mm of travel. The rear uses an adjustable closed-cartridge shock with a piggyback reservoir, 90mm shock travel, and linkage suspension.

The linkage rear suspension is especially important when the terrain gets rough. Rather than relying on a simple direct-mounted shock arrangement, the linkage allows the rear suspension to work through a progressive leverage curve for better control through repeated hits, landings, and rough trail sections.

Ride Modes, Regen and Rider Controls

The Komodo gives riders multiple selectable modes to change how the bike responds depending on terrain and experience level. Modes include Eco, Sport, Hyper, and Reverse. It also features 4-level adjustable regenerative braking plus a dedicated regen switch.

Talaria uses a dual-Hall throttle design for fast, precise throttle response with improved resistance to electromagnetic interference. Ride information is displayed through a TFT multifunction display, keeping the important bike data visible while riding.

Braking and Control

With 32kW available, stopping performance matters just as much as acceleration. The Komodo is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, paired with adjustable regenerative braking to give riders additional control when slowing down or descending steep terrain.

Optional L3e Configuration

For riders looking for a more road-oriented configuration, an L3e option is available. The L3e setup adds the equipment needed to give the Komodo a more street-focused configuration while retaining the core high-performance platform.

14-Day Manufacturer Defect Guarantee

Within 14 days of delivery, any part found to be defective due to a manufacturing issue may be replaced under the applicable warranty terms.

12-Month Limited Warranty

• Power System: Motor, controller, display, and battery are covered for 12 months from the delivery date.
• Frame and Chassis Components: Chassis, swingarm, and applicable non-wear components are covered for 12 months.

Warranty Exclusions

Normal wear items are not covered under the limited warranty. These include components that naturally wear or require periodic replacement through normal use.

Battery Coverage

Lithium-ion batteries naturally lose some capacity as they age and accumulate charge cycles. Battery coverage applies when capacity falls below 65% of the original capacity within the applicable warranty period. Damage or degradation caused by improper charging, excessive discharge, improper storage, or other misuse is not covered.

Service and Assembly Costs

• Assembly costs and labor fees are not covered under warranty.
• Approved replacement parts are supplied at no cost when covered by warranty, but installation remains the customer's responsibility unless otherwise specified.
• Third-party repair or assembly charges are not reimbursed.
