15kW Electric Performance With Full-Size Moto Ergonomics

The RFN Warrior Pro SX-E15 Plus is built for riders who want an electric dirt bike that feels much closer to a traditional motocross machine. With a 74V 40Ah Samsung battery, 15kW of power, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, a 53-inch wheelbase, and fully adjustable suspension, the E15 Plus is aimed at track riding, aggressive trails, and riders who want more motorcycle underneath them.

This is the larger-wheel version of the Warrior Pro platform. The standard SX-E15 uses a 19/16 wheel combination, while the SX-E15 Plus steps up to 21/18 wheels for a taller stance, improved rollover through rough terrain, and ergonomics that move it closer to a full-size dirt bike.

74V Power With a True Moto-Style Drivetrain

RFN equips the Warrior Pro SX-E15 Plus with a 15kW electric drivetrain backed by a 74V battery system. Power is delivered through a direct-drive motor setup and heavy-duty 520 chain, along with a chain guide and reinforced swingarm designed around the loads created by aggressive off-road riding.

One thing that stands out with this bike is how RFN approached the chassis and drivetrain as a complete package. Adding more motor power is easy. Getting that power through the chassis, suspension, wheels, chain, and tire in a controlled way is what makes a good dirt bike. The E15 Plus was built with that bigger picture in mind.

RFN lists a top speed of approximately 58 mph. Other RFN specifications have referenced speeds above 60 mph depending on configuration and conditions, but we use the 58 mph manufacturer specification as the primary figure.

74V 40Ah Samsung Battery

The SX-E15 Plus uses a 74V 40Ah Samsung lithium battery with 2,960Wh, or 2.96kWh, of energy capacity. The battery is removable and uses a quick-swap design, making a second battery a practical option for riders spending a full day at the track or trail system.

RFN lists a maximum range of up to approximately 50 miles, but range on a 15kW off-road bike needs some context. Aggressive riding, deep terrain, elevation, rider weight, speed, temperature, tire pressure, and power settings can reduce range significantly. In demanding real-world trail testing contained in the material provided to us, approximately 18 to 20 miles was estimated during aggressive riding, while a more casual ride with substantial elevation covered approximately 26 miles with 13% battery remaining.

Think of the 50-mile figure as an ideal-condition maximum rather than what every rider should expect on the track. If you're hammering the E15 Plus like a 125-class dirt bike, expect the battery to work like one too.

Charging time is approximately 2 to 4 hours.

Sport and Track Modes With Five Power Levels

The Warrior Pro gives riders considerably more control over how its 15kW drivetrain behaves. The bike features Sport and Track riding modes, with five selectable power levels within each mode.

That adjustability makes the bike useful for more than one type of rider or terrain. You can soften the bike for tighter trails or a rider getting accustomed to electric torque, then move into the higher settings when you want the full performance available.

RFN App Tuning

The RFN mobile app takes the adjustability further. Riders can monitor motor temperature, controller temperature, battery temperature, and battery percentage while accessing additional bike settings.

Available adjustments include throttle linearity, throttle sensitivity, regenerative braking or energy recovery, power output, torque-related phase current, speed limits, wheel diameter, and transmission ratio. Wheel diameter and gearing adjustments are particularly useful if the bike is modified because they allow the speedometer configuration to be corrected for the new setup.

For riders who like to tune their bike instead of accepting one factory throttle map, this is a major advantage. The bottom-end response can be made less aggressive for technical terrain, or the higher modes can be opened up when maximum performance is the goal.

21/18 Wheels With Kenda Tires

The SX-E15 Plus uses a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, which is one of the biggest differences between it and the standard SX-E15. The larger wheels give the Plus a more traditional dirt bike stance and help it roll through rocks, roots, braking bumps, ruts, and other rough terrain.

RFN also did not throw generic tires on the bike just to get it out the door. The Plus comes equipped with Kenda tires, using an 80/100-21 front and 110/90-18 rear. For riders actually planning to use the bike off-road, starting with a recognized tire manufacturer is a detail we appreciate.

Fully Adjustable Suspension

The Warrior Pro SX-E15 Plus features dual-adjustable damping suspension front and rear. This gives riders the ability to tune the chassis rather than being stuck with a one-size-fits-all suspension setting.

Suspension setup matters even more as speed increases. Sag, compression, and rebound settings affect how quickly the bike turns, how planted it feels through rough terrain, and how effectively the tires maintain traction. Taking a few minutes to properly set rider sag before chasing clicker settings can completely change how a dirt bike handles.

Rear wheel travel is approximately 250mm. For riders setting sag, a traditional starting point of roughly 30 to 35% of total rear wheel travel can provide a useful baseline before fine-tuning the bike for personal preference and terrain.

Strong Brakes and Rider-Focused Controls

The E15 Plus uses hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with large calipers and rotors. The brake levers are also adjustable without requiring tools, allowing riders to quickly set lever reach where it feels comfortable.

That braking performance matters on a bike with strong low-end electric torque. Acceleration gets most of the attention on high-performance e-motos, but a properly sorted chassis and strong, predictable brakes are what let you actually use that power confidently.

53-Inch Wheelbase With a Nimble Chassis

Despite the 21/18 wheel package, the SX-E15 Plus retains a relatively compact 53-inch wheelbase. That gives the bike a more nimble character than its full-size wheels might suggest.

The combination of a shorter wheelbase, tall ground clearance, narrow rider cockpit, and responsive electric power is designed to make the bike easy to move around underneath the rider. For tight single-track, rutted corners, motocross, and technical terrain, that can be a big advantage over a longer and heavier full-size motorcycle.

Why the SX-E15 Plus Stands Out

There are plenty of electric dirt bikes with big power numbers. What makes the RFN Warrior Pro SX-E15 Plus interesting is the hardware surrounding that 15kW drivetrain.
