Can the Explorer 1500 Ultra Charge an E-Moto?

It depends on the AC input requirement of your e-moto charger. The Explorer 1500 Ultra provides 1,800W of continuous AC output, so a charger must stay within the Jackery's continuous output limits to be compatible.

If your charger requires less than 1,800W of AC input, the Explorer 1500 Ultra may be capable of powering it. If your charger requires more than 1,800W continuously, this is not the right Jackery for that charger. The 3,600W peak rating should not be treated as 3,600W of continuous charging capability.

There is another important consideration: capacity. The Explorer 1500 Ultra stores 1,536Wh, or 1.536kWh. Many full-size performance e-motos have batteries substantially larger than that, so even when the Jackery can operate the charger, you should generally think of this unit as a partial-charge or range-extension option rather than a guaranteed full recharge for a large e-moto battery. Normal inverter and charging losses also reduce the amount of stored energy that ultimately reaches the bike.

For riders primarily looking to fully recharge large e-moto batteries off-grid, a larger-capacity Jackery may make more sense. For riders who want one portable unit to support the rest of their gear and potentially provide some compatible bike charging, the Explorer 1500 Ultra fills a very useful middle ground.

Those temporary peak ratings can help with equipment that briefly requires additional startup power, but when you're sizing something that runs continuously, such as an e-moto charger, use the 1,800W continuous rating.

1536Wh LiFePO4 Battery

Inside the Explorer 1500 Ultra is a 1,536Wh LiFePO4 battery. Jackery rates the battery for more than 4,000 charge cycles while retaining 70% capacity, supporting an expected service life of more than 10 years under the stated conditions.

LiFePO4 chemistry is particularly well suited to a portable power station that's expected to see regular use. Whether you're taking it riding every weekend, using it around the RV, or keeping it available for emergency power, longevity matters just as much as output.
