Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro | 3584Wh Home Backup, Camping & E-Moto Charging
Quiet Backup Power That Goes Beyond the House
The Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro combines a 3,584Wh LiFePO4 battery with 3,600W of power output, giving you a substantial portable power source for home outages, camping, RV use, track days, and compatible e-moto charging.
At home, the Explorer 3000 Pro can keep essential 120V appliances running when utility power goes down. Away from home, the same battery can come along in the trailer or vehicle to power chargers, refrigerators, lights, laptops, tools, phones, cameras, and other equipment without having to keep a gasoline generator running.
With built-in wheels, a pull handle, and operating noise as low as 30 dB, this is a good middle ground for someone who wants serious stored energy while still being able to move the power station where it's needed.
Can It Charge an E-Moto?
Yes, the 3,600W output gives the Explorer 3000 Pro enough power for many e-moto chargers, provided the charger's AC input requirement stays within the Jackery's output limit.
Don't size your power station based on the motor rating of the bike. A 20kW e-moto does not require a 20,000W power station. What matters is how much AC power the charger requires.
For example, a 1,500W charger is well within a 3,600W output limit. A charger requiring more than the Jackery can continuously supply would not be compatible.
The other number to consider is battery capacity. The Explorer stores 3,584Wh, or 3.584kWh. That means it may be able to run a powerful charger, but it doesn't necessarily contain enough energy for a complete recharge of every large e-moto battery.
Normal inverter and charging losses also mean you should not expect every one of the Jackery's 3,584Wh to end up in the bike battery.
A Useful Example for E-Moto Riders
If your e-moto has a 72V 40Ah battery, its nominal capacity is approximately:
72V x 40Ah = 2,880Wh, or 2.88kWh
On paper, that fits within the Explorer's 3.584kWh stored capacity. In the real world, however, charging and inverter losses need to be considered, along with anything else being powered at the same time.
If you're running a much larger e-moto battery, the Explorer 3000 Pro may make more sense for a partial recharge, range extension, or topping the bike back up between riding sessions rather than expecting a complete 0 to 100% recharge.
A Great Addition to Your Track Setup
Even if you're using a larger generator or power station to charge the bikes, the Explorer 3000 Pro can take care of almost everything else around the pits.
- Phones and tablets
- Laptops
- GoPros and camera batteries
- Tool battery chargers
- Portable refrigerators and coolers
- Fans
- Lighting
- Speakers
- Communication equipment
- Other compatible pit and camping equipment
That's a setup we like for track weekends. Keep your main generator focused on high-output bike charging and use the Jackery for all the smaller loads you need throughout the day. At just 30 dB, it can also keep equipment powered overnight without a gas engine running next to camp.
3,584Wh of Home Backup Power
During a power outage, the Explorer 3000 Pro provides 3,584Wh of stored battery capacity and can be expanded up to 21kWh with compatible additional equipment.
Jackery estimates configurations can provide approximately 15 hours to 9 days of backup power, depending on battery configuration, appliances being powered, and actual energy consumption.
With 3,600W of output, a single unit can handle compatible essential household equipment such as refrigerators, portable air conditioners, coffee makers, electronics, and other 120V appliances.
120V Power with 240V Expansion Capability
A single Explorer 3000 Pro can power compatible 120V appliances. Jackery states that two units can be connected to support larger 240V appliances such as compatible well pumps and dryers.
A single unit should not be treated as a standalone 240V power source based on the information provided. The 240V capability described here requires the appropriate two-unit configuration.
This distinction is also important for e-moto charging. Verify the input voltage and wattage requirements printed on your charger before connecting it.
EV-Grade LiFePO4 Battery
The Explorer 3000 Pro uses EV-grade LiFePO4 battery cells rated for 6,000 cycles. Jackery positions the battery for up to 16 years of dependable backup use under its stated usage assumptions.
For a power station that may spend part of its life as emergency backup and the rest traveling to campsites, tracks, and riding areas, long cycle life is an important part of the value. This isn't something that has to sit unused in the garage waiting for the power to go out.
Quiet Enough for Overnight Use
Jackery rates operating noise at approximately 30 dB. That makes the Explorer 3000 Pro useful in places where a combustion generator can quickly become annoying, including campsites, residential areas, RVs, trailers, garages, and overnight pit setups.
There is no gasoline engine running while you use the battery, which also means no engine exhaust or routine engine oil maintenance associated with normal power station operation.
Built-In Wheels & Pull Handle
The Explorer 3000 Pro is designed to move with you. Built-in wheels and a pull handle make it easier to roll the power station between the house, garage, trailer, RV, campsite, or vehicle instead of treating it as a permanently installed battery system.
Simple Backup Power
For portable use, there isn't a complicated startup procedure. Plug in your compatible equipment, power up the Explorer, and you've got stored electricity available without starting a combustion engine.
That simplicity is useful during an outage, but it's equally convenient when you arrive at camp or the track late and just want to get your equipment powered without setting up a generator.
