So first the cons.

This guard is much more difficult to install than stock, I suppose it is for good reason though. The printed plastic tabs don’t have much bend to them (you will have to figure out how to bend though, it is a TIGHT fit) and I suppose this helps me feel better about the price over stock since the tabs are much stronger. It has a lip that goes over and pinched the body for more rigidity which I like, but it seems it was skimped a bit in making a smooth finish towards the end of the guard which you can also see in the original photos.

For the pros, this thing is WAY beefier than stock. Where I found myself ripping the stock mud guard off any time I crashed while off-roading after a flimsy rubber tab would rip, I am comfortable literally using this mud guard as a lifting point to carry the wheel. The overall shape and size is about the same as stock excluding the lip, so I am not compromising performance at all in that aspect.

It’ll probably pay for itself. It may be twice the price of a stock guard, but I’m confident it would outlast any stock guard ten times over. With the added protection that thick printed plastic gives, it is worth the price for sure.
