Tomahawk TG4500iEFI 4500W EFI Inverter Generator | E-Moto Charging, Camping & Backup Power
More Efficient Portable Power with EFI Technology
The Tomahawk TG4500iEFI Inverter Generator is where portable power starts getting especially interesting for e-moto riders. With 3,800 rated watts, 4,500 starting watts, advanced inverter technology, Electronic Fuel Injection, and a 58.4 lb overall weight, you're getting substantial charging capability without moving into a massive generator platform.
For a track or camping setup, that extra output gives you room for a higher-powered e-moto charger while still leaving capacity for lights, a fridge, phones, tools, speakers, or other equipment. For professional use, the same generator can power compatible tools, electronics, appliances, and jobsite equipment.
The Electronic Fuel Injection system is one of the standout features. Rather than relying on a traditional carburetor, EFI electronically controls fuel delivery to improve fuel efficiency, starting performance, emissions, and operation across changing conditions. Add electric, remote, and manual starting, ECO Mode, CO Alert technology, 62 dBA operation, and up to 9 hours of runtime at quarter load, and the TG4500iEFI becomes a seriously versatile portable power source.

Clean Inverter Power
The TG4500iEFI uses advanced inverter technology to provide clean, stable AC power for compatible e-moto chargers, computers, electronics, tools, appliances, and other equipment.
For riders specifically looking for a generator to charge expensive e-moto battery systems and run electronics around camp or the pits, inverter technology is an important advantage. It is designed to provide more stable power than a basic conventional generator while still giving you the convenience of gasoline-powered runtime.

3800 Rated Watts in a 58.4 lb Package
One of the strongest features of the TG4500iEFI is its power-to-weight ratio. It provides 3,800 rated watts and 4,500 starting watts while weighing just 58.4 lbs.
That makes it particularly attractive for riders who need more charging headroom but still need to lift the generator into a truck, trailer, RV, or other vehicle. Its compact 20.7 x 12.2 x 19.7-inch dimensions also make it easier to fit alongside bikes and riding gear.

Quiet, Efficient Power for Camp or the Pits
At a listed 62 dBA, the TG4500iEFI is designed to keep noise more manageable around campsites, race pits, residential areas, and other locations where you don't want a loud conventional generator running all day.
ECO Mode adjusts engine operation based on electrical demand, helping reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and noise when you're not using the generator's full output.
What Size Generator Do I Need for My E-Moto?
Choosing a generator for your e-moto is pretty simple: size it based on your charger, not your bike's motor. A 20kW e-moto does not need a 20,000W generator.
Quick Formula:
Charger Watts + Other Equipment + 20 to 30% Headroom = Recommended Generator Size
Example: If your e-moto charger uses 1,000W and you want another 300W available for lights, a fridge, phones, or other gear:
1,000W + 300W = 1,300W
Add about 25% headroom and you should look for roughly 1,600W or more of continuous/running output.
The TG4500iEFI provides 3,800W of rated continuous output, giving you considerably more room than that example requires. This is where a generator starts becoming especially useful for riders with higher-output chargers, multiple bikes, or a full track and camping setup where charging is only one of several electrical loads.
For sustained charging, calculate your available power using the generator's 3,800W rated output. The 4,500W starting output is intended for short startup demands and should not be treated as continuous charging capacity.
If your charger lists AC input voltage and amperage rather than watts, you can get a quick estimate using Volts x Amps = Watts. When available, use the charger's listed AC input wattage or manufacturer specifications for the most accurate number.
Charging Multiple E-Motos
The 3,800W rated output gives the TG4500iEFI considerably more flexibility for multi-bike trips. Whether you can actually operate multiple chargers simultaneously depends on the AC input requirements of each charger.
For example, two chargers drawing 1,000W each would create approximately a 2,000W charging load. That would leave additional generator capacity for compatible lights, electronics, a refrigerator, tools, or other equipment. Two 1,500W chargers would create a 3,000W load before anything else is connected.
Always calculate the entire load and leave reasonable headroom rather than planning to operate the generator continuously at its maximum rated output.
Generator or Power Station?
Both can work. For fuel-powered generators, we generally recommend a quality inverter generator for charging e-motos and sensitive electronics. The TG4500iEFI combines inverter technology with the extended runtime and fast refueling advantages of a gasoline generator.
For portable battery power stations, check both the AC output wattage and battery capacity in Wh or kWh. Output determines whether the power station can run your charger, while capacity determines how much stored energy is available to put back into your bike. Normal AC conversion and charging losses also need to be considered.
Track, Camping & Emergency Use
If you're charging multiple e-motos or running additional equipment, add everything together. Your chargers, lights, refrigerator, tools, speakers, electronics, and other equipment all contribute to the generator's total load.
The combination of 3,800 rated watts, inverter technology, EFI, 58.4 lb weight, and a compact footprint makes the TG4500iEFI especially useful for race weekends, track days, camping, remote riding areas, construction sites, food trucks, and emergency backup power.
EV Charging
Some generators can potentially provide emergency charging for a Tesla or other EV, but EV charging has additional electrical, grounding, charging-equipment, and compatibility requirements. Do not assume a generator is compatible with an EV simply because it has sufficient wattage. Always verify compatibility with the vehicle, charging equipment, generator, and electrical requirements before attempting EV charging.
Why EFI Matters
EFI stands for Electronic Fuel Injection. Instead of using a traditional carburetor to mechanically meter fuel, EFI electronically controls fuel delivery based on engine operating conditions. This allows the engine to more precisely manage the fuel and air mixture.
- Improved Fuel Efficiency: More precise fuel delivery can reduce unnecessary fuel consumption across different operating conditions.
- Improved Engine Performance: Electronic fuel control provides more precise fueling as engine demand changes.
- Reduced Emissions: More controlled fuel delivery can support a cleaner and more efficient combustion process.
- Easier Starting: EFI automatically adjusts fueling during startup, including changing temperature and atmospheric conditions.
- Better Altitude Adaptation: EFI can compensate for changes in air density without the same manual adjustments commonly associated with carbureted engines.
- Reduced Carburetor Maintenance: There is no traditional carburetor with jets that require the same type of cleaning and adjustment.
For riders who travel between different elevations, store a generator between riding trips, or simply want modern fuel management, EFI is one of the TG4500iEFI's most useful upgrades.
Electric, Remote & Manual Starting
The TG4500iEFI gives you three starting options: electric, remote, and manual. The included remote control starter is especially convenient around camp, the pits, or a work area where you don't necessarily want to walk over to the generator every time you need to start it.
CO Alert & Built-In Protection
CO Alert technology monitors for dangerous carbon monoxide levels and automatically shuts the generator down when harmful levels are detected. The generator also includes low-oil shutdown and overload protection to help protect the engine, generator, and connected equipment.
Never operate a gasoline generator indoors, inside a vehicle or trailer, or in an enclosed space. Always follow the manufacturer's placement, ventilation, and carbon monoxide safety requirements.
