Tomahawk TG9000i 10500W Inverter Generator | E-Moto Charging, 120V/240V & Backup Power
Big Power Anywhere You Need It
The Tomahawk TG9000i Inverter Generator is for riders, race teams, professionals, and backup-power setups that have moved well beyond the limits of a small portable generator. With 8,500 rated watts, 10,500 starting watts, 120V and 240V output, advanced inverter technology, and less than 3% total harmonic distortion, this is a serious portable power source.
For e-moto riders, that 8,500W continuous output opens up a lot of possibilities. Instead of simply charging one bike, the TG9000i can support larger charging setups where multiple compatible e-moto chargers, pit equipment, lighting, tools, refrigeration, electronics, and other equipment may need power at the same time.
At the center of the TG9000i is a 458cc engine paired with a massive 6.9-gallon fuel tank. Runtime reaches up to 14.5 hours at quarter load, while Eco Mode helps adjust engine operation to the electrical demand. Despite its size and output, the generator is rated at just 62 dBA.

Super Quiet at 62 dBA
A generator this powerful doesn't have to sound like one. The TG9000i carries a listed 62 dBA noise rating, making it much easier to live with around race pits, campsites, jobsites, residential areas, food trucks, and other noise-conscious environments.
Eco Mode adjusts engine speed based on electrical demand. When your equipment isn't asking for the generator's full output, the engine can operate more efficiently, helping reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and noise.

Built to Move
At 233 lbs, this isn't a generator you're going to toss in the back of the truck by yourself. Tomahawk equips the TG9000i with wheels and a lifting arm to make moving it around the garage, trailer, race pits, barn, campsite, or jobsite considerably easier.
The generator itself measures 31 x 23 x 29 inches, giving you a substantial amount of output in a package that can still be transported where serious portable power is needed.

Power Your World
The TG9000i combines 120V and 240V output, GFCI protection, CO detection, overload protection, low-oil shutdown, and built-in surge protection in one high-output platform.
This makes it useful for considerably more than charging bikes. It can become the power hub for an entire track or camping setup, construction site, food truck, emergency backup system, or other compatible equipment.
120V & 240V Power
One of the biggest advantages of stepping up to the TG9000i is access to both 120V and 240V power. The generator supports 20A at 120V, 30A at 120V/240V, and 50A at 120V/240V connections, giving you significantly more flexibility for compatible equipment.
For e-moto charging, always verify the charger's required AC input before connecting it. Never connect a 120V-only charger to 240V. Some high-output chargers support 240V input, but compatibility needs to be confirmed with the charger manufacturer before use.
What Size Generator Do I Need for My E-Moto?
Choosing a generator for your e-moto is pretty simple: size it based on your charger, not your bike's motor. A 20kW e-moto does not need a 20,000W generator.
Quick Formula:
Charger Watts + Other Equipment + 20 to 30% Headroom = Recommended Generator Size
Example: If your e-moto charger uses 1,000W and you want another 300W available for lights, a fridge, phones, or other gear:
1,000W + 300W = 1,300W
Add about 25% headroom and you should look for roughly 1,600W or more of continuous/running output.
With 8,500W of rated continuous output, the TG9000i is far beyond what most single-bike charging setups require. This generator makes the most sense when you need to charge multiple bikes, operate high-output chargers, run a large pit or camping setup, or use the generator for additional professional and backup-power applications.
For sustained loads, calculate your available power using the generator's 8,500W rated output. The 10,500W starting output provides additional short-duration capacity and should not be treated as continuous charging power.
If your charger lists AC input voltage and amperage rather than watts, you can get a quick estimate using Volts x Amps = Watts. When available, use the charger's listed AC input wattage or manufacturer specifications for the most accurate number.
Charging Multiple E-Motos
This is where the TG9000i really starts to separate itself from smaller generators. With 8,500 rated watts, it can support much larger charging setups, provided the total electrical load stays within the generator's capabilities.
For example, four e-moto chargers drawing 1,500W each would create approximately a 6,000W continuous load. That would still leave rated generator capacity available for compatible lights, electronics, tools, refrigeration, or other equipment.
Three higher-output chargers drawing 2,000W each would also create a 6,000W load. The actual number of bikes you can charge simultaneously depends on the AC input requirements of the chargers, not simply the number of bikes or outlets available.
Always add the entire electrical load together and leave reasonable operating headroom rather than planning to continuously operate the generator at its maximum rated capacity.
Why Inverter Power Matters
The TG9000i uses advanced inverter technology and produces less than 3% total harmonic distortion. This provides clean, stable power for compatible e-moto chargers, computers, electronics, audio equipment, appliances, tools, and other sensitive devices.
That becomes especially important when one generator is powering thousands of dollars worth of bikes, chargers, computers, phones, and other electronics at the same time. Power quality matters just as much as having enough wattage.
Generator or Power Station?
Both can work for e-moto charging, but a generator this size serves a different purpose than most portable battery power stations. The TG9000i is built for high-output, extended-runtime applications where you can simply add fuel and continue generating power.
For portable battery power stations, check both the AC output wattage and battery capacity in Wh or kWh. Output determines whether the power station can run your charger. Capacity determines how much stored energy is available to put back into your bike, before accounting for normal conversion and charging losses.
Track, Camping & Emergency Use
If you're charging multiple e-motos or running other equipment at the same time, add everything together. Your chargers, lights, refrigerators, tools, compressors, speakers, electronics, and other equipment all contribute to the total load.
With 8,500 rated watts, 120V and 240V output, inverter technology, a 6.9-gallon tank, and up to 14.5 hours of runtime at quarter load, the TG9000i makes the most sense when you're building a complete mobile power setup rather than simply looking for the smallest generator that can charge one bike.
Emergency EV Charging
The TG9000i's higher output and 120V/240V capability may make it relevant for some emergency Tesla or other EV charging situations, but EV charging has additional electrical, grounding, EVSE, and vehicle compatibility requirements.
A 240V outlet and sufficient wattage do not automatically make a generator compatible with an EV. Always verify compatibility between the generator, outlet, EVSE, vehicle, grounding requirements, and charging equipment before attempting EV charging.
