Off-road Top Speed:
NOTICE: Some vehicles include a “City Mode” that limits top speed to 20 mph, making them compliant with many city and state regulations for use on public roads, bike paths, sidewalks, and parks. Other vehicles may feature an “Off-Road” or “Race” mode, which increases performance and top speed (more than 20mph) but may render the vehicle illegal for use in the city or on public roadways. Vehicles without a “City Mode” and exceed a top speed of 20mph are not for use on public roads, bike paths, sidewalks or in parks, and are intended for off-road, privately owned land or track use only. Disclaimer: I work for REV Rides but I purchased this myself.
PROS:
- 46 MPH speed is legit and the bike will go up to top speed even at low battery (Most PEV’s top speed taper off as the battery drains)
- Plenty of power, I’m able to keep up with 300-400CC bikes riding off-road.
- Nimble and light AF. It is so much fun to ride on jumps and technical bits.
- Comes with a fast and slow charger. I appreciate the high quality charger with aircraft grade fittings for the battery, and it has a 5A and 10A charger.
Standarized!!!! DOT brake fluid, standard disc brakes and rotors, handlebars, grips, etc. I can take a lot of accessories from my other dirt bike and put them straight on this one.
CONS:
- If you’re hammering on the bike at high speed, your range will be about 30-40 miles. The slower your average speed, the longer the range is. At 25 MPH speed I got about 50 miles range.
Foot pegs: they’re not great from the factory but the design is standardized so I’ll just buy some upgrades.
Very small challenge to process the order and poor delivery service not with Revs but Forward Air. However really love the RFN.
It took more than 2 weeks to process my order before it was shipped. From my conversation with the customer service agent, I learned that the delay was caused by a human error. After the error was rectified, my bike was shipped and arrived as promised. Although the customer service agent was always prompt in responding to me, some of the information they provided was inaccurate.
