I found an easy improvement that almost made me cry.
All you need is a bolt 2 in X 5/8 and put a through the hole above the locking pin.
That will stop the unlatching mechanism of the column and remove any column slag.
It will prevent th column from folding accidently and It will also make sure you pay attention to the locking pin well seated in its slot, period.
Remove the bolt when you want to fold the column again.
It works and it is that simple! 😊😊😊
Today I fell off my Zero 9 and hurted my right wrist and right thigh and decided to write this review and hope It might help or even save lives of some owners of this otherwise excellent e-Scooter. Incidently I found another owner who had similar experience like I had today among these customer reviews.
I was very happy with Zero 9 and as the reviewer Chuck Temple said in Youtube It is a well balanced among all other eScooters in terms of weight, safety and performance.
He mentioned the handle bar locking rings will become loose and needed to be re-tighten once awhile. This is nuisance but not dangerous because the wobble it causes is tolerable.
He also mentioned the main stem folding mechanism, especially the locking pin needed to check carefully and make sure it is well seated before each ride. Perhaps people might not heed it seriously enough.
Today, I rode my Zero 9 around my neighborhood. There is an steep incline road off the main road normally I would avoid because it is very steep and leads to a private neighborhood area. But today I decided to explore!
I was surprised that the Zero 9 was able to climb it although it was only about 4 mph. After at the top it started to downhill just as steep and the road surface was very rough and felt very bumpy, and the Zero 9 was gaining speed.
ALL THE SUDDEN, I felt the stem folded toward my stomach and I felt forward and my right palm hit the ground and my right side knee and thigh scrapped on the pavement. No one and no car around and after a short while I got up and limbing, picked up the Zero 9, pushed and locked the stem and rode home and called it a day. The trip meter read 3.8 miles.
I am sure If the road surface was not that rough or with very slow speed, that fall would not have happened. Zero 9 has warning about going through water moe than 1/2 inch deep but there is no specification on road roughness that Zero 9 can or cannot handle.
I hope this review will give some warning about riding on rough pavement with Zero 9. It shoud be noted it is not like off-the-road riding which does not give a large rhythmatic vibration for a period of time.
My goal was to get something that compared favorably to the Segway Max with respect to weight and portability, with a little more speed on tap and a comfortable ride. The Zero 9 delivers.
Hola estoy necesitando comprar la llanta delantera completa para el scooter zero 9. Alguna persona sabe donde la puedo conseguir? Muchas gracias.
Perfect daily driver, hugely fun to ride. Would buy again (and again)
