A New Breed of Off-Road Machine
The Bonnell 775 MX is what happens when downhill mountain bike precision collides with lightweight dirt bike power. Built for aggressive off-road riding, this platform is light enough to transport easily yet strong enough to handle real trail abuse. Whether you ride weekends or push hard every session, the 775 MX delivers serious performance without compromise.

775 MX Motor | Power When You Want It
At the core of the 775 MX is the CYC X1 Pro Gen 4 motor, delivering up to 6,000 watts of peak power and a massive 280 Nm of torque at the crank. This setup lets the bike function as a pedal-assisted e-MTB for efficient cruising, or a full-on e-Moto when you want instant acceleration and trail-dominating power.
The integrated torque sensor ensures smooth, predictable power delivery when using pedal assist, adapting instantly to rider input. It is responsive, controllable, and built to handle steep climbs and aggressive riding.
Ride responsibly and always follow local laws and regulations regarding high-powered electric vehicles.
Intuition Display | Smart Control, Real-Time Feedback
The CYC Intuition integrated smart display keeps critical ride data directly in view. Speed, battery status, power mode, and performance metrics are all accessible at a glance. The interface is fast, clean, and designed for riders who want control without distraction.
A built-in Apple AirTag adds an extra layer of security, allowing easy tracking through compatible Apple devices.
MX Battery | Power or Range, Your Choice
The Bonnell 775 MX runs a CYC A65 Series 65V 1300Wh battery, optimized to support both high output riding and extended range sessions. Encased in lightweight aluminum for excellent heat dissipation, this battery is built for durability and safety.
A dual-layer Battery Management System actively monitors temperature, charge cycles, and current draw to protect the system under demanding conditions. Samsung 50S cells provide strong energy density and efficiency, while a sub-4-hour charge time keeps downtime minimal. The battery is also swappable, making long ride days easy.
Battery weight is approximately 17 lb (7.6 kg) and includes a one-year warranty.
Frame & Suspension | Built to Take Abuse
The 775 MX frame is engineered for real off-road punishment. A 4130 chromoly front triangle with full ED anti-rust coating provides strength and longevity, paired with 6061 forged aluminum chainstays and adjustable dropouts. Stainless sealed bearings with marine grease and a double-sealed pivot system keep everything smooth and protected.
Rear suspension duties are handled by the Suntour Voro Coil shock in a 205x65 trunnion configuration. Coil suspension offers a planted, linear feel with excellent sensitivity and consistency through the travel. Compression is adjusted via a five-position low-speed knob, with rebound control handled separately for precise tuning.
- Medium: 450 lb spring
- Large: 500 lb spring
- X-Large: 550 lb spring
Up front, the Suntour Rux 38 RC+ delivers 200mm of travel with 38mm stanchions for maximum stiffness and control. Adjustable rebound and compression, Boost 20x110mm spacing, and an integrated short fender make this a true downhill-rated front end.

Braking & Drivetrain
Stopping power comes from Magura MT5 hydraulic brakes with four pistons and MDR-P floating rotors. A 220mm front rotor and 203mm rear rotor provide consistent braking under high loads. The system is set up moto-style from the factory and includes flip-flop levers for rider preference.
The drivetrain runs a single-speed hardened steel rear sprocket, stock 24T, paired with a CYC steel narrow-wide 38T chainring and KMC e1 EPT anti-rust chain. A custom Bonnell CNC chain tensioner supports sprockets from 22T to 28T.
Sprocket Options
- 24T (Stock): Balanced performance, ~37 mph (60 km/h)
- 22T: Higher top speed, ~40 mph (65 km/h)
- 26T: Increased low-end torque, ~34 mph (55 km/h)
- 28T: Maximum climbing torque, ~31 mph (50 km/h)
Smaller sprockets favor top speed, larger sprockets prioritize torque. Choose based on your terrain and riding style.
Wheels, Tires & Contact Points
A mullet wheel setup keeps handling sharp, with a 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear. Alex EMC 30 reinforced rims, Boost hubs, and stainless spokes provide durability. Maxxis Assegai DH casing tires with MaxxGrip compound offer exceptional traction front and rear.
Contact points include a Bonnell 780mm handlebar with 50mm rise, Lekkie Pacemaker full twist throttle with lock-on grip, and a short-nose Bonnell saddle with integrated carry handle. A Tranz-X adjustable dropper post allows quick transitions between climbing and descending.
Bonnell Ride Control App
The Bonnell Ride Control App connects via Bluetooth and unlocks deep customization. Power modes can be fully reprogrammed, pedal assist levels fine-tuned, and throttle response adjusted. Riders can monitor speed, distance, battery status, temperatures, and more through the built-in dashboard.
Compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
