Altis Delta Assembly Guide & Video

Altis Delta Assembly Guide & Video

Watch and wrench along with our included step-by-step assembly video.

This REV Rides Box to Road assembly guide and video walks you through assembling your Altis Delta from the shipping box to ride-ready. Follow the steps in order, start bolts by hand, and do not over-tighten fasteners that thread into aluminum.

Stop Here First: Shipping Damage Check

  1. Inspect the outside of the box for dents, punctures, crushed corners, or torn straps.
  2. Open the box and inspect the bike for scratches, bends, cracked plastics, or damaged components.
  3. If you see any damage, take photos and do not continue assembly.
  4. Contact REV Rides right away at: https://revrides.com/contact
  5. Keep all packaging for 30 days or until you confirm the bike is undamaged and fully operational.

Quick tip: Flip the box upside down and toss packing materials into it as you work. Cleanup is easier.

Unboxing Notes

  • When you open the box, a few items may be placed loosely and can fall out. Set these aside first (front fender and front plastics).
  • You may see a QC/build tag (certificate of conformity). This can show who assembled it and when it was boxed.

Safety and Setup Notes

  • This bike is heavy (about 165 lbs in the video). Use a friend or family member to lift it onto a stand if needed.
  • Remove battery to make the bike easier to lift
  • Cut shipping zip ties carefully. Do not cut any wires.
  • Do not over-tighten fasteners. Many threads are aluminum.
  • This bike does not have a headlight or tail light (per video).

Step-by-Step Assembly

1) Remove Packaging and Shipping Zip Ties

  1. Remove the box and set loose items aside (front fender, plastics, charger box).
  2. Remove the front wheel packaging and set the wheel aside.
  3. Cut and remove remaining zip ties and packing. Keep ignition and handlebar area clear.

2) Remove Seat and Access Battery

  1. Under the seat, remove the turn knob by twisting until it comes off.
  2. Pull the seat off. It may be tight.
  3. Remove any plastic wrap under the seat area.

3) Remove Battery

  1. Locate the battery latch and power cable under the seat.
  2. Flip the latch up and slide the battery out. Keep it below your waist for better leverage.
  3. Set the battery aside for charging.

4) Charge the Battery

  1. Connect the charger to the battery first. Align the connector using the alignment marks.
  2. Push straight on until it latches.
  3. Plug the charger into the wall.
  4. Charger indicator behavior: red while charging, green when fully charged. Standby shows green blinking about 1 second on, 1 second off.

5) Release Front Suspension Shipping Ties

  1. Cut the two large zip ties holding the front end down.
  2. Important: The front end can rise when cut. The video notes it is not extreme, but be prepared.
  3. Cut the zip tie holding the key and set keys aside.

6) Handlebar Clamp Offset Position (Optional)

The Altis Delta uses an offset bar clamp position. The video shows flipping the clamp for a taller rider's preference. This is optional. If you are not sure, skip this step and proceed with the normal bar install.

  • To change clamp position (video method): loosen T45 bolts, remove the top nut with a 30mm wrench/socket, tap the triple clamp off with a rubber mallet, flip clamp orientation, reinstall and snug.

7) Install Handlebars (Initial)

  1. Confirm all cables are routed cleanly and not pinched.
  2. Set bars into position and install upper clamps and bolts.
  3. Snug evenly. You do not need final torque yet.
  4. If your bar pad has no slit, you may need to cut a small slit for easier access to bolts (as shown in video).

8) Lift Bike Onto Stand (Recommended)

  1. Use a center stand or a stable support. Ask for help if needed.
  2. Do not strain yourself. The bike is heavy.

9) Install Rear Shock Bolt (If Not Fully Installed)

  1. Loosen rear shock hardware as needed. Use T45 and hold the nut side with a 15mm wrench (per video).
  2. Make sure the collared bushing style washers stay in place on both sides.
  3. Add a small amount of lubricant/grease where the bushing rides.
  4. Align the shock, insert the bolt, verify bushings are seated, and tighten.

10) Front Wheel Install

  1. Remove the front axle nut and slide the axle out.
  2. Set the brake-side spacer aside (video notes a dedicated spacer for brake side).
  3. Grease the axle lightly. Remove excess lumps.
  4. Remove brake blockers from the front brake and rear brake. Save them if you want them for future brake bleeding, otherwise discard.
  5. Slide the wheel into the forks. It helps to slightly twist the fork legs into alignment.
  6. Install the brake-side spacer. The video notes using the stepped down side orientation.
  7. Align axle and fork, then install axle through the wheel.
  8. Snug pinch bolts first (5mm). Add a small dab of blue Loctite if desired. Tighten back and forth. Snug only.
  9. Snug the axle nut. The video notes this is a locking nut, so Loctite is not required.

11) Front Brake Caliper Install and Alignment

  1. Apply a small dab of blue Loctite to the two caliper bolts.
  2. Install caliper bolts (T30) and leave slightly loose at first.
  3. Squeeze and hold the front brake lever to self-center the caliper, then tighten bolts.
  4. Rotor may rub slightly for the first few miles, then free up (per video).
  5. Check rotor bolts (T40) and snug as needed.
  6. Reinstall the axle nut protector cap if desired.

12) Cable Routing and Bracket Bolts

  1. Loosen the cable bracket bolts (T30) as needed to route wires behind the bracket.
  2. Make sure wires sit in the gap and are not pinched.
  3. Apply a small dab of blue Loctite and snug.
  4. Use zip ties to group lines cleanly. Do not over-tighten. Leave a little slack so cables can move normally.
  5. Trim zip ties and tuck the heads downward so they are less visible.

13) Front Fender Install

  1. Apply a small dab of blue Loctite to fender bolts (T30).
  2. Slide fender into place, start all bolts by hand, then snug.
  3. Do not over-tighten. Steel bolt into aluminum threads.

14) Kickstand Install

  1. Remove kickstand bolts from the frame (T45).
  2. Apply blue Loctite, install kickstand, and tighten.
  3. Make sure the spring is out of the way so it does not interfere with the bolt head during tightening.
  4. Install the other side the same way if applicable.

15) Side Fairings Install

  1. Remove the pre-installed screw from the fairing.
  2. Align the locating nipple into the frame hole.
  3. Install push-pin style plastic fasteners.
  4. If push pins are stubborn, use wire cutters as a wedge tool (do not cut them). Push to seat.
  5. Thread the fairing screw into the frame mount point.
  6. Repeat on the other side.

16) Number Plate Install

  1. Remove the two top screws from the number plate.
  2. Align the two locating nipples with rubber grommets and slide into position.
  3. Tighten the two screws into the upper key bracket.

17) Clean Up Wiring

  1. Zip tie any dangling wires. We do not let friends have dangly wires.
  2. Trim zip tie tails and rotate heads downward so you do not see them.

18) Install Battery

  1. Make sure battery cables are out of the way.
  2. Insert the battery back-first, then press it fully in. It fits snug.
  3. Important: Do not push on the small battery percentage display. Press on the battery body.
  4. Latch it down.
  5. Connect the battery power plug until seated and the battery display lights up.

19) Seat Install

  1. Align the seat hooks (two rear hooks and one front hook).
  2. Slide into place and confirm it is seated.
  3. Reinstall the seat knob and tighten snug.
  4. Note: Charging requires removing the seat (per video).

20) Remove Rear Brake Stopper

  1. Pull in the rear brake lever and remove the rear brake stopper.

21) Final Handlebar and Control Setup

  1. Set lever angles so your forearm and wrist line up naturally while riding.
  2. If you stand often, a slightly lower lever angle can feel better.
  3. Use alignment marks on the bars to help center them.
  4. Snug lower clamp bolts first, then confirm upper clamp bolts.
  5. Reinstall the bar pad foam and cover.
