Perfect for commute

Dual motors makes climbing Portland inclines smooth. It also includes a switch to activate/deactivate dual motor mode. Materials and craftsmanship seem higher quality than expected. Ride is said to be rougher because of the two rubber tires, but I have not experienced significant problems on city streets.

As a 6' & 215lb person, my major complaint is deck size. The deck extender is functionally required for comfortable riding. If I had one dream it would be an extra 4 inches of deck space while maintaining the extender. However, this is in comparison to something like a long board. The deck is certainly longer/wider than rental scooters.

It's not light but it's also easy enough to carry when necessary and collapses down to a size that makes it no issue commuting by train (provided there's an open space where a bike would fit). Collapsing is also incredibly easy and fast.

Fun to ride. Dual brakes feel safer than one. Shop in Vancouver, WA was super helpful letting me try out multiple and then setting it up & including an attachable bag. I did move the bag from it's installed place on handlebars to the middle of the shaft. Right where the extension part slides into and off to one side rather than straight on. Don't know if I'll keep this forever but it is handy at holding my lock.

Mods: Added a phone mount and covered openings with silicon sealant. Will add front light in the future which will take up most of the available bar space.

Would recommend.

Vsett8 review

So I bought my vsett8 back in October 2022 and have put 2000 miles on it on dirt and paved roads and besides having to change the front tire I have done nothing to it. It has been a great scooter and I am thinking to upgrade to the 8 + soon

REV RIDES ARE THE ONLY REAL SCOOTER DEALERS AROUND!!!! LOOK IT UP ON BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! A+

REV Rides are the only ones who know their shit! They are the best. i taught myself how to repair these scooters over the years as its pretty clear places like fluid free ride are a scam. i am not a paid reviewer, im an actual customer. i learned how rev rides are the best, the hard way, which turned out to be painless because revrides rocks. heres the story.

ive had 2 kaabo mantis, a zero 10x, a fluid free ride horizon (zero 8) and i build computers. so i learned how top repair these scooters. they're so easy to diagnose, but nobody knows how to fix and they're frauds. except for rev rides. so i knew that ahead of time.

now, i by a vsett 8. i always have problems with fedex. i called them, i was very nice and i explained to him, exery day fedex makes excuses on why they can't deliver a package because they're too lazy to pick up the box, whatever. you will go like 3 days of missed attempts which are lise by the driver. well i explained this to revrides and the guy was pissed, at fedex obviously. super helpful, he sent an agressive email around 3:30 pm, and that day by 5:30pm, i had it. because of this guy, rev rides is fantastic. so i call them to say that i needed a throttle swap. i work 13 hour shifts and i accidentally hung up on them while i was sleeping. apparently they assumed i was mad and rushed out a throttle to me. thats insane customer service. buy from rev rides, if you have a problem, they will fix it. they are great! im gonna call them today to offer to pay for the throttle. you guys have my loyalty!

It’s fun to ride but it was assembled by an ape

For some reason some screws are over tightened to the point they are stuck, and the reflector on the back was soooo loose that one day it was just gone, it must have fallen off while riding it, also for some reason the front wheel keeps squeaking sooooo loud where it’s actually embarrassing to ride past people and I don’t know how to get it to stop, I tried spraying it many times with WD40, I tried just riding it around until it goes away but it won’t go away, I think something on the inside is loose to the point where something is scraping against the wheel, it squeaks less when I turn to the left and more when I turn to the right. I contacted RevRides about this about a week ago but did not get a reply back. Also the included multi-tool is sooooo weak that it literally broke when trying to tighten stuff on the Handel bars. If you buy this scooter, use your own multi-tool to loosen and re-tighten every screw on the scooter. Thales are my only complaints. Another problem was the break cable tube that the break cable goes threw wasn’t fully in place and I was riding and tried to break and I could not stop because the tube slipped out of the small slot it goes into, it was not fully in place and it needs to be or the breaks won’t work, I fixed it easily and luckily I didn’t crash or get hurt. And also the day I got it, I was riding around and noticed the wire that connects to the front wheel was literally just unplugged. I had to plug it back in my self. Now some good things about this scooter is that when you have it on the mode that uses both motors, It accelerates so fast where it’s really fun to take off, also the scooter looks really cool, I just wish all of the wires and stuff were on the inside instead of being exposed. Also the lights look cool and I was riding down hill and got the scooter to get up to 27MPH which is really fast. I just really wish the front wheel would stop squeaking sooooooooo loud
