How to Update Firmware on Your Altis Sigma to the Latest Version: A Comprehensive Guide
Update your Altis Sigma firmware using the convenient Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware update process. Follow this step-by-step guide to keep your bike’s software current and functioning at its best.
I. Downloading the Hicycle App
For iOS Users: Head to the App Store and download the Hicycle app to begin the firmware update process.
For Android Users: Get the Hicycle app from the Google Play Store.
II. Registering and Logging Into the App
After installing the app, follow these steps to set up your account:
- Launch the app → Tap "Register" → Provide your email address → Enter the verification code sent to your email → Create a password → Tap "Register."
- If the verification code expires, simply request another one.
III. Connecting Your Altis Sigma Bike
Step 1: Access the QR Code on the Bike’s Meter
- Press and hold the M button to access the bike’s settings menu.
- Use the + and - buttons to navigate to "Bluetooth," then press M to display the Bluetooth QR code.
Step 2: Bind Your Bike by Scanning the QR Code
- After logging in, tap "Scan Code" in the app.
- Display the bike’s QR code on its meter, then scan and bind the bike.
- Tip: If the connection fails, unbind the bike manually through your phone's Bluetooth settings, restart the Hicycle app, and try again.
IV. OTA Firmware Update
Once your Altis Sigma bike is connected to the Hicycle app, you’ll see an automatic OTA update prompt.
- Confirm the firmware upgrade, and the bike will enter the update mode.
- During the upgrade, the screen will briefly go dark.
- When the process completes, the system will return to the main menu, and the app will confirm the successful update.
V. Speed Correction: Adjusting Wheel Diameter and Reduction Ratio
For accurate wheel configuration, apply the following settings:
- 16-inch rear wheel: Set to 16 inch, 8.3.
- 19-inch rear wheel: Set to 19 inch, 7.4.
